Oh, how kind of you. ❤️ No, I’m not sad - well, I am sad because my daughter’s father-in-law passed away on the 14th, but I’m happy for another daughter whose birthday it was on the 15th. So happy/sad.
It was really the funny answer to the Janis Ian question (see previous post) that made me think that At Seventeen was an appropriate song for Valentine’s Day. And that song reminded me of this song, as both songs remind me of how women are supposed to behave. And that makes me a bit angry. So I may be digging out some female empowerment/bitterness/sad songs for a few days. But I’m okay, and it was very sweet and caring of you to ask. ❤️❤️❤️
Context was necessary, because 13-year-old girls (let alone boys) of my generation were not in a position to understand what things were like when our mothers were young. Even as an adult with a greater awareness both of history and of current sexism, I still can hardly believe some of the stories my mother tells me.

My eighth grade history teacher played this for the class, but didn't really provide proper context. Without that, it just comes across as campy.
I'm glad you are okay. I value your contributions to MFU fandom.
