I am so insane.
For some reason I've decided I am doing both het_bigbang and the little bang that's being discussed. But I have a good reason!
See, for one thing I am in denial about John and Jenna being dead. I don't like it. So in my stories they aren't going to be. It's that simple. I mean, except it isn't that simple, but still.
So, for het_bigbang I am doing Alaric and Meredith Sulez, his love interest from the books, because I love her and ever since I read the books in January I have been plotting in my head how to fit her into the show. The fic is going AU from 2x21 (obviously, since John and Jenna are alive) and I am changing things around a lot (i.e. Jenna not being a vampire) to fit my personal preferences for this fic. I'm really excited about it, and I've got at least 2k of just planning notes and that's before any real outline, plus I have the first scene written.
There's just one tiny problem.
My mind is telling me there are two sides to this story. Meredith and Alaric's side, and then Jenna's side, which apparently has a hell of a lot to do with John. Which is where the little bang comes in (seriously it has to happen so I have motivation and a deadline for this thing because it's begging to be written). Their side of the story is going to be told in that fic.
Everyone else (Elena/Stefan, Matt/Caroline/Tyler, Bonnie/Jeremy, possibly even Damon/Katherine) are going to make appearances in both stories, too, and so really this is like one large, my-version-that-obviously-is-nothing-like-what-is-going-to-happen-on-tv Season 3.
Here's the problem. I have NO IDEA HOW TO DO THIS. Like, how to make them fit together. Do I write one first then the other? Considering a playlist for the J/J one is screaming at me to write right now I don't really think that's going to work out.
Maybe I'll just go get some paper and a pen and just outline the whole damn thing tonight for my own peace of mind.
