Wrapped in a trailing blue robe of silk, Polgara moved around her apartment with a soft, pleased smile on her face. She moved into her spotless kitchen and set the water to boil for a nice cup of tea and considered slipping down to another apartment for the night . . .

Rose wasn't at home and Maia needed someone to talk to. Taking a breath she knocked on Polgara's door, her wand was tucked away in her pocket.

Polgara was at the door in a second, doing her best not to wrench it open. Her face fell faintly when she didn't see a familiar dark head, but perked right up again into a genuine smile.

"Maia," she said warmly, stepping backwards to allow her in.

"Hey." She said with a nervous smile as she stepped through the doorway, her fingers tight around the wand. "I'm not bothering you am I?" She said with a quick glance around.

Polgara shook her head. "Oh no, dear, not at all. I was just about to have a cup of tea, would you like to join me?"

Sara grinned as Polgara said hi. "Mmmm I love when we say hi like this. Makes not seeing you easier because I know I'll get a big welcome when we meet again." She whispered against Polgara's lips. Her mouth teasing a little.

Pol nodded somewhat solemnly. "Much easier." She let herself kiss Sara briefly and tried not to allow this to descend immediately into the bedroom talk that she knew was coming. "How was work?"

"Mmmmm dead bodies...blood..." She said against Polgara's neck. "Same old stuff you know. You?" She said nibbling on her ear now.

Polgara laughed, arching her neck a little. "Same here. Dead bodies, blood, same old stuff," she echoed teasingly.
