The Beast (my truck) has new tires and brakes.  The old brakes had worn past the pads and the rotars were being gouged.  The usual squeeling you hear from worn pads?  Never happened.

So, the other day I pop the hood on the Ram to change out a headlight bulb. My dear, beloved husband asks, "Why do you have a dipstick out?" I tell him I don't, I'm changing a light bulb, not messing with any of the fluids. He then shows me the transmission dipstick which is laying right on top of the engine.
