Age is irrelevant. I know you can do anything you put your mind to. Plus it is better to try than to live with the "What if...?"

Go for it! :)

Yes you are right oh wise doc.....I'm NOT too young to write !!! ;)
Actually my boss asked me to stay....so for now I've agreed to work three hours a week for them-hardly seems worth it but it means they are happy and I keep my company benefits (discounts etc) so what the heck.

You get benefits working only three hours a week?? Oh, you mean discounts. Your health insurance is already "covered," correct? :)

Over here you'd be a writer who had better not get ill. ;)

Actually I have private health care cover too ,paid for by the wandering alley cat ;)
The NHS is great for urgent major surgery but poor for minor or non life threatening treatment.

If you are going to be a full time writer you should set yourself a goal of commtting at least 30 minutes of actual writing to paper every single day. That's not 30 minutes of holding a pen, but actually typing/writing for those minutes. Don't worry if it is good or bad or whatever, you can always rewrite and refine what you put down.

Most people who fail at a creative endeavor fail because they don't actually ever do the creative thing. So, just write a minimum amount each day and you will be good. The other big tip is don't throw away anything. Create a file of stuff you don't plan to use now. You can study your own work and look for things to improve. Plus you never know when a character you tossed out might be the perfect person for the next thing you write.
