in the record books, hingis hands down will go listed as a better player. currently, while dementieva to this point has underperformed in 2006, i still think she is kinda underrated just because her serve is so shitty. i mean, come on, if old girl got that shit together, how could anyone not talk about her as a threat to win any/every tournament.

now, this is only hingis, what, 4th tournament back? to make it to the finals of a tier 1 ... almost immediately after losing in the qf's of a grand slam of a match she should have won (against the then #2, now #1 player in the world) ... this shows good grit for hingis in her comeback i think. depending on her draw and who's healthy, i would bet money on her taking the french.

as for hingis losing 2 and 0 ... i dont know how to explain that. maybe she used the wrong kind of cocoa this morning?
