uh, so i am a very weird person and read the lj applyingtograd community even though i don't have a livejournal and i have already gotten into and subsequently dropped out of grad school. i guess it's a relief to see what i no longer have to deal with? anyway, i saw your post about wanting to do autism research at the U of M and it struck a chord with me because i too went to a small college to be near family, and didn't have the same opportunities other people would. one thing that i think really helped strengthen my grad application was that i had been a part of this summer REU at the U
