Immigration

I just ended up arguing with a patron about immigration.  Short story--I generally classify myself as a Democrat, he's most definitely Republican.  Apparently I don't love freedom and don't deserve it...because I think that other people have rights to it too.  He also really disliked my argument that we're all immigrants, or descended from them...

Literal yelling? Call security and kick his ass out.

I guess that's why they call them rednecks. I don't think it's a coincidence that Republicans are represented by the color red. It finally makes sense now. It wasn't such an arbitrary color choice, after all. Our country was pretty much founded on immigrants (minus the killing of natives, but I digress).

"Minus" to say that that was also a part, but that came later. Mostly to do with land acquisition and expansion of our (that time) current and little country.

But they weren't white. They can't be real people if they weren't white! They were just there to destroy America!

Besides, America had a right to that land. Andrew Jackson said so.
