Is there something seriously wrong with me, that I can't successfully stay on a diet for more than a week?

I have an innate desire to please.  I like making people happy; I even want to give that guy who yelled at me for being a liberal a few weeks ago a list of places on campus where he won't bump into me, since it obviously makes him really ( Read more... )

But...you are fat. I mean, aren't! Aren't...
Risto: Suuure...It was "aren't" you really meant to say.
Little bugger...Why can't you say something helpful for once?
Risto: What? You just said she was--
I know, you little oaf.
Risto: Such namecalling. Why must I be the hated character?
Xhia: Oh, silly, we love you!
Risto: Heckuva funny way of showing it.

I consider myself to be a little squishy. Not really fat, just extra "fluff." At least you're not on the top of the fat scale. (Clicky :D) You should check out more of his stuff. He's hilarious, btw. Anyway. I can never help but shake my head whenever I see size 0-4 jeans. I think my body's a little weird. Fluff when I stand up, but when I lie down I can see my hip bones. Maybe it's more concentrated to the sides.. I have no idea what to classify myself as. :D

I'm also eager to please as well. As much as I can't stand people, I like being of help to the random customer.

Speaking of horrible muffin tops: I saw a good one a few days ago (and by good I mean funny). Girl gets out of her car, but the tight shirt she'd been wearing to go with her way-too-small pants had ridden up a few inches. So a full-on muffin view (I could just imagine a cooking timer going off). Then she had to readjust her shirt to cover it completely again and I thought, "Yeah, that makes it better. You can still it, but now it's just blue instead."

People need to wear the right size clothes.

People do need to wear the right size clothes. Wearing the right size doesn't make you look fat (even if it means buying a size 8 instead of a size 4), it makes you look good. Wearing clothes that are too small highlight every ounce you might consider needing to lose.
