Wait, I think I've fallen way out of touch. What are you doing to be doing again? (Did I ask that last time you posted?) Keep me updated about Security issues, and send photos of the Israeli Supreme Court! (/geek)

I'm doing a Fulbright project on rationality in Israel next year! Actually I'll be living in the same neighborhood as all the gov't buildings, so I'll try to get you a pretty picture of the Supreme Court.

Most of my photo-posting and non-personal blogging will be going on over here. So if you want to hear about security and that sort of stuff, you might want to keep an eye on that one, too.

typos aside, he does something really interesting, and uses sense-of-humor as a mass noun. isn't that cool?

Heh! I never noticed, but that's the way Hebrew uses "sense-of-humor."

אם הרבה חוש הומור
im harbeh chush humor
with much sense humor

Kit, you have to crawl my new blog for linguistic observations (when they come) and help clarify and contextualize them for me!

mais, bien sûr.

english uses it as a mass noun sometimes, i think, but not in the context he had.

"Level up" caught my eye too. I'm not whether WOW has made it into the Orthodox circles, but I don't think that one's a Hebrew thing.

(Also - of course not! But I do think it's kind of cute the way he just states his situation up front in the ad.)
