I just have to say: LUCIOLA.

I watched the series back in 2003 or so, so I don't remember much of it anymore. But I still remember burning love for Luciola. haha Also, Luciola/Dio, so very heterosexual. Not.

The new sequel I haven't seen, but I have it from multiple authorities that it is absolutely disappointing in comparison. ^^; So while I don't want to spoil any fun here, go in with low expectations?

Yaaaaay Last Exile! *returns the high five* I honestly wasn't expecting anyone else to know about it so yaaaay! xD But yeah, all my love for Lucciola. At first, he was kind of invisible to me, but he got so awesome at the end... gahhh. I was rather surprised at all the shippy subtext in the series... the Silvana kind-of became the love ship for a few episodes, haha :DD

Thanks for the heads-up with the sequel. Gosh, sequels tend to be like that, don't they?

I dunno, I have this pre-canon epic in my head that details everyone's time in officer school and how they all learned to fly and stuff, and it would become this crazy OT4, but it sounds like a lot of work xD;; I'll think on it, I have a Priest Set x Mahaad story to write for the contest and I have no idea where to start for it, so maybe it will go on the back-burner for a while.

And I honestly wasn't expecting to READ anyone being happy over Last Exile. So I call this a win-win all around! XD

Love ship. YES IT DID. The whole middle section, you're just like... what? Relationship drama? XD;;

To be fair too, the sequel was made many, many years after the original. So who knows if they even managed to find the same writers. : / But it sucks anyway. The first series was SOO GOOD.

Ooo fic ideas! XD I know how you feel. I keep coming up with all these stories too, and then... never writing them, because "WHY can't they just materialize themselves on their own without any effort on my part"? XD

Ooo Priest Set x Mahaad... that is an AWESOME pairing! This is the Season 9? Season 10 contest? What other pairings did you have to write so far? : )

I know!! It kinda comes out of nowhere, and for some reason everyone is crushing on Claus (instead of Lucciola xDD) But yeahh, so many fic ideas... I dunno if I should just enjoy my head-movies or write them out or what. A brain-to-paper-transcriber-thing would be the best invention ever, haha :DD

Yesss for Headdressshipping!! It's Round 3 of Season 10... we've had Honda x Shizuka x Ryuuji and Anzu x Ryou, so it's been pretty great so far! Set x Mahaad is great, so I want to do it justice, although with Last Exile in my head, all I can think of is crazy steampunk, space opera, or pirate AU fic xD;;;
