Ice jams on the Grand river have caused some serious flooding not too far from me

Yowch! Are you high enough not to be potentially affected? (In my case, or one of my cases, I’m safe from flooding, at the cost of sometimes being vulnerable to freak snow - on the rare occasions it falls, that small height difference coming up the hill can be enough to make the difference between nothing in town and whiteness around =:)
