Rant about my own forgetfulness...

Okay, so I am now in a wheelchair, which does make some things a little more difficult to do than they used to be. I'm not complaining about that, it is to be expected when one's life circumstances change so drastically. In fact, for the most part, life around home has not changed all that much, except that I am looking at it from about 2 1/2 feet ( Read more... )

I would always forget my shopping and/or errand lists, before I found a little trick: as soon as you finish making the list, immediately stick it in one specifically designated compartment of your purse. Whenever you refer to it, stick it back there again afterwards.

Also, you could get little purse-size spiral notepads (drugstores have 'em, about a buck apiece), keeping one at a time in your purse and making your lists with it.

LOL, I usually do just that, and put it in a pocket in my bag. Unfortunately, I forgot to do it (I think I'm getting that Old Timer's Disease or something). However, the little notebooks are a good idea, so I think next time I venture out, I will get some of those so I can keep one in my purse. I just put them on my new shopping list, in fact!

I am lucky that, when I do BIG stocking up, I have a couple of friends with car that drive me there and back. But, it's the little trips that will get ya every time. Especially me, since I am so easily distracted by..Oh, hey! Look! A Butterfly! LOL

I bawled my eyes out on House. That is the first time I've cried about an episode since Spike died in Chosen. Gawd, next season will be harsh!

I just about laughed some body parts off imaging you kicking yourself. Race ya in our wheelchairs.

You are just so AWESOME!

If I have a list that is very important for me to do, I keep it in the dashboard area in front of my steering wheel, where all the guages and stuff are.

Oh, House did just have me bawling like a baby. I'm eventually going to write all my reviews like I used to, but in the meantime, I did a little post on TV.com forums. They had like 70 posts within an hour of the episode ending. Geeze, I hate the short season. I want to see what happens next-- NOW! LOL ( ... )

duckmobile. *snort* that totally suits you. are you going to put cool bumper stickers on it or snazzy it up with decals? i know you don't really want a plain wheelchair. *g*

Oh, absolutely! I've already been making my own bumper stickers with wide masking tape and markers. My latest one says "I Brake For Stop Lights." I had one that said "My other vehicle is a Porsche" for a while. Plus, once in a while, when I'm feeling all girly and frivolous, I put ribbons on the handles. I even went out and bought myself a cheap, multicolored feather duster that I am going to stick in the back of the chair to look like a fabulous bird tail.
