Of laziness and snacks.

Today has been a day of livejournal posting. Apparently.

The weekend was ok. Lazy, as they always are.

It's Latina month here (maybe everywhere, I don't know), so the Latina/Spanish-speaking groups on campus put on the 3rd annual Latina Culture Show. It was entertaining for the most part, but some of the technical things were iffy. My friends were in it, so I got to cheer them on when appropriate. Also, there was a slide show about Mexico and Lety, the girl that put it together, used two of the pictures I sent her. One of them was of my aunt making tortillas. In fact, it's this picture:

I still have to show Jenny how to use the tortilla-making machine.

Anyhow, right before I left to go to the show, I found a 12''x12''x24'' box downstairs for me.

Danny went all out. These were among the things he sent:

-Nacho Cheese Doritos
-Tostitos cheese and salsa dip (to go with the first item)
-Oreos (my favorite cookie)
-Riesen
-Double Chocolate Hershey's Kisses
-Double Chocolate Milano cookies
-Some extra cheesy fish crackers
-Flamin' Hot Cheetos
-Pudding snack cups
-gummy worms
-two nail polishing block things
-a headband/belt/wrist tie/whatever else you can think of pink polkadotted band
-a green pouch
-a knitting kit (to make cat toys with, complete with knitting basics DVD with what sounds like porno music on the background)
-some blue earrings
-a "si se puede" button
-some quarters clearly labeled "Laundry $"
-"Girl's Night Out" jenga-like blocks
-a rain meter
-a digital thermometer
-SO MUCH PACKING MATERIAL
-a letter and a card; the latter reads:

Front - "1. This is you./2. This is me./3. This is you and me separated by many, many, many miles [The picture is a little guy on the left saying "sad" and a little guy far to the right saying "so sad."]
Inside - "This card is to say that number 3 sucks. Miss you."

It's really much cuter in person.

This post has become too long.
