Apparently, the vacancies in the science department were never filled. As the head of department, I will be handling Chemistry, Biology, and Earth Science in addition to my usual class, Physics.

In order to save time, this following homework problem is for all science classes:

A ten ton cement mixer (moving west at 100 meters per second) is on a collision course with a 730 kg smart car (moving east at 75 meters per second), as shown below:

What is the momentum of both objects?

The crash results in a perfectly inelastic collision:

What is the velocity of the resulting cement mixer/smart car hybrid?

Then the cement mixer/smart car hybrid encounters a giant lizard, because there was a mad scientist in the neighborhood with a penchant for marine iguanas and radiation.

Despite this increasingly unlikely scenario, tell me how many neutrons are evolved in the splitting of uranium.

The mass of the giant lizard is 7.5 tons, and it starts running at the vehicles at 11 m/s. Is the force on the lizard greater than the force on the vehicles?

Pissed off, the lizard starts chomping on the cab of the truck, and eats the guy inside.

Approximately how much of his energy is used to build new biomass by the lizard?

A. 10%
B. 20%
C. 30%
D. 100%
E. 32%

The lizard walks away, and encounters a pack of velociraptors emerging from a fissure in the ground.

However, a meteor (about 10 km in diameter) hits soon after they start fighting. What’s the resulting impact on the geography and biosphere?

Remember to put down your name and class when you hand in the homework.
