I am going to start the enrollment process for Ethan for kindergarten today. I am in denial hard core. How is my baby big enough for school!? I dunno why it is bothering me so much, but instead of being excited, I am so sad. Stupid pregnancy hormones. My little baby boy... -

DISNEYLAND!!!
We booked our family "babymoon" for Disneyland today. I am so, so excited! This is probably the last (and actually, the first if you don't count the wedding) family vacation we'll take for quite a while. I won't be able to do many, if any, rides. Everything looks god!
Today went really well. Our baby boy looks fantastic, nothing wrong with the heart, kidneys or measurements. So, we decided to forgo the AFP testing. They'll be keeping an eye on him and his size, since small birth is the most likely effect of his single umbilical artery. Worried, worried, worried... (X post from CC journal)
So, our doctor reviewed our first u/s, and we only have a 2 vessel umbilical cord. This apparently puts the baby at higher risk for heart and kidney defects, as well as chromosomal problems. So, they're gonna check and make sure everything looks good, and they will be monitoring babies size and fluid levels throughout the pregnancy ( Read more... )
