OBVIOUSLY given the flashforwards everything is going to go to shit, but Skyler will basically consider herself okay as long as she and the kids get out together, and there's probably still a path to that if only she can find it.
I FUCKING LOVE THAT SHE'S FOUND HERSELF IN THIS POSITION WHERE SHE'S LIKE "UGH, WALT'S KIND OF MY ALLY." She fucking hates him and if everything blew over she'd never be able to forgive and forget and go back to being how they were, but because they're in this crisis position now and her entire worldview and all of her priorities have shifted so much - and because, unlike the awfulness of their relationship in the first half of S5, she's actually holding a lot of cards right now - she's actually found herself in a position where helping Walt get away with it is her best option? SKYLER ASKING FOR A LAWYER. SKYLER ASKING IF SHE'S UNDER ARREST. SKYLER NOT ADMITTING SHIT TO MARIE. SKYLER TELLING WALTER "BELIZE?????" WHITE THAT HANK CAN'T PROVE SHIT. SKYLER INTERNALLY BEING LIKE "OF FUCKING COURSE YOU DID" WHEN WALT IS LIKE "NOBODY TALKED, I JUST FUCKED UP." Skyler White: Literally the only person on this show with the wits to maybe get away with all of this. Turning on Walt won't be an option forever, but it's going to be an option for a long fucking time, and if she plays things right she can always have that in her back pocket as an escape plan. LYDIA AND TODD, WHATEVER. Not to disparage what was a really good scene, and I'm sure the meth business is going to tie back into what everyone else is doing at some point, but also, I'm not here for Lydia and Todd. This entire half-season could just be Walt, Skyler, Hank, Marie, and Jesse having tense conversations and I'd be more than fine with that. Saul can come too, I guess. ANYWAY IT WAS REALLY CUTE WHEN HE WAS LIKE "MA'AM, ARE YOU OKAY?" BECAUSE I ALWAYS FORGET THAT TODD'S THE FUCKING WORST AND NOT ACTUALLY LANDRY.
