I...I haven't finished the second book! My interested went from GREAT to sort of non-existent for no real reason but now I want to get through it just to live out this horribleness.

ALSO APPARENTLY VERONICA ROTH IS WRITING E-BOOKS FOR FOUR AHAHHAHAHAHAHA LITERALLY WHO GIVES A FUCK NOW THAT TRIS IS FUCKING DEAD FOR NO REASON OTHER THAN V. ROTH THOUGHT IT WOULD MAKE HER DIFFERENT THAN ALL THE OTHER AUTHORS.

Tobias finds out that he's not Divergent, he's just a genetically damaged nobody who happens to have some things in common with Divergent people, and he gets ANGSTY AS FUCK about it and ends up getting suckered into helping the GENETICALLY DAMAGED RESISTANCE, who tell him they want his help to do some harmless little nothing, and Tris is like DUDE THEY ARE DEFINITELY LYING TO YOU THEIR PLAN HAS TO BE BIGGER, and he disagrees with her and goes along with it and the GENETICALLY DAMAGED RESISTANCE end up BLOWING SHIT UP in a populated area so that they can gain access to something called DEATH SERUM so they can start assassinating people in power, and Uriah's caught in the explosion and spends the entire rest of the book (aka roughly the whole second half of it) in a coma until they take him off life support after Tris dies. GOODBYE, URIAH ( ... )

IT'S SO GOOD! I WAS DOG-EARING PAGE CORNERS TO MARK ALL THE FUCKING TERRIBLE THINGS ABOUT THIS BOOK BUT THAT IS THE ONLY ONE I MARKED BECAUSE IT WAS GOOD, AND IT WAS SO, SO GOOD. ATTACHING IT TO A SERIES OF ARTEMIS CAPS ASAP AND THEN FORGETTING THIS BOOK EVER HAPPENED.

UMMMMMMMMM YOUR MILEAGE MAY VARY, because from reviews I've seen a lot of people are like THIS HAS RUINED THE ENTIRE SERIES FOR ME, but I'm still very fond of all the stuff I was fond of about Divergent and Insurgent! It's just that this book was fucking terrible! ALSO the consensus isn't in from actually reasonable people whose opinions I trust, and I'm interested to see what they think, because there's a very specific thing that the internet is mad about, but it's dominating the conversation to the point that I don't know if they loved the book until SPOILER, or if they, like me, thought that the book was fucking useless and terrible pretty much all the way through. I DON'T EVEN CARE ABOUT [SPOILER], I'M TOO BUSY THINKING FORTY THOUSAND OTHER THINGS WERE STUPID.

It's sort of a Bones thing. My love for the earlier seasons is intact but my hatred for the last few seasons knows no bounds!

Basically any decision is a good one. READ THEM ALL AND TALK TO ME ABOUT HOW GREAT DIVERGENT IS VS HOW TERRIBLE ALLEGIANT IS. READ NONE OF THEM AND SAVE YOURSELF. READ THE FIRST TWO AND NEVER EXPERIENCE WHAT IT IS TO BE THAT UNDERWHELMED.
