Even Red Alert needs to take a break now and then, and such, his office is dark and empty. All the monitors, like the lights, are dark, though the feed continues to scroll onto secured databanks elsewhere. No telling where the security chief has gotten off to, or when he'll be back, but for the moment, his office is empty.

There is a loud clatterdy-bang as a Seeker in robot-mode appears abruptly in one corner, and her momentum sends her diving to the ground. The jet is a bright and purple, if people can see that through the flashes of light going off all over her armor.

She takes in the dark1 stillness of the room in a blink, then shoves herself to her feet. She examines the room in rapid, almost bird-like, glances ( ... )

She doesn't get far before the door slams open, the brief chime of it being unlocked preceding that by but a bare fraction of a second. Red Alert stands framed in the doorway, his weapon and his shoulder mounted rocket both aimed squarely at the outrageously colored Seeker. Although nicely silhouetted by the light from the corridor beyond, he's tensed and positioned to dive for the nearest bit of cover. Decepticons aren't supposed to shoot first any more than he is, right now, but he still doesn't trust this truce a damn bit.

"Thought I was being paranoid, alarming my office, did they? I knew this truce wouldn't last. Just who the hell are you, and what exactly do you think you're doing?" he growls.

Damn stupid truce. Knew they couldn't be trusted. In the old days, he could have simply hit the general alarm and had... well... no one. They'd all quit responding to his general alarms, thinking him a paranoid hexnut. But at least he wouldn't have to wait for them to shoot at him first, damnit!

For an instant, with Red Alert silhouetted as he is, 2112 thinks he might be Steelcircle. The voice, however, is one Steely only uses when she's trying to make Stranglehold uncomfortable.

The fact that he's pointing weapons at her really doesn't enter into her mind as being a reason for him not to be Steelcircle ( ... )

Red Alert notes the increase in ambient light coming from the Seeker's armor with a thick feeling of suspicion. Just rather flashy sparkles for now, however, if this femme is capable of boosting the power to that effect, she'd have quite a handy weapon/distraction at her disposal. He adjusts his position slightly to dive outside the room for cover, should it become necessary ( ... )

From a rather non-descript doorway in an equally non-descript corridor in an equally non-descript portion of Autobot City, a rather familiar looking firetuck-mech wanders out. He's got an almost-equally familiar looking Lamborghini-mech in tow. Only... there's something not... quite right about this Red Alert.

Mainly because this isn't Red Alert.

"Welcome to Autobot City, Steelcircle," Inferno says cheerfully.

Colours are a little off. Model's newer. Wearing too much polish. Optics are red - not like a Decepticons' solid scarlet, but like a furnace flame, flickering.

Steelcircle lets her expression take on the appearance of one who is gaping in wild-opticed wonder at a delightful sight, although she is far more analytical behind that facade. Where are the hidden guns? There have to be hidden guns. Now, smile for the security cameras. Let them know that she knows they're there. Steelcircle gushes, "Oh, this is fantastic. There's... there's... room here."

Inferno glances down at Steelcircle with an appreciative grin.

"That there is. And thousands of miles of open road to burn up outide the city. Red likes it," he says, still grinning.

Of course, Red Alert doesn't often take advantage of those open roads; it's hard to convince him to relax and take a day off to go do something so frivolous as unwind. Spaking of which...

// Red, where ya at? // Inferno comms his partner cheerfully.

Red Alert's response is... significantly less cheerful, and quite a bit more terse. // At the brig. //

Inferno frowns slightly, replying, // I thought you were taking the afternoon off? //

// I was. The Decepticons, apparently, had other plans. //

The Decepti- Aw hell. Inferno heaves a sigh, and turns to head down to the brig to join Red Alert. // On my way. //

"Red's down at the brig. Someone tied his tail in a knot. C'mon, I'll take ya down," Inferno explains, already leading Steelcircle along.

Steelcircle perks up happily at the mention of open road. Forget all those snotty racers. Even without her Sigma ability, just based on her build-line, she can leave most of them in the dust.

She notes Inferno's frown, evidently out of the clear blue... orange ceiling. Radio conversation, perhaps? His comment that Red Alert's down at the brig confirms it for her.

Steelcircle follows along after Inferno, behind him and to his left, such that while she is not entirely obscured by the taller robot, she isn't quite as obvious as she would be if she walked beside him. At the same time, she doesn't obviously look like she's hiding, the way she would if she followed directly behind him.

She asks, sounding concerned, "Do problems like these come up often?"

In the brig, 2112 was practicing the fine art of playing solitaire. She could have loaded up a more complicated game over her optical data, but she didn't like blinding herself to reality too much.

She sat at the back of her cell, back to the wall, face turned towards the guard booth. She didn't move, she didn't talk, and she hardly sparkled.

Someone, Starscream reflects sourly as they land, evidentally thought "Expedite the ranking Decepticon officer" meant "Hassle him as much as possible and keep him waiting in a holding pattern". He wouldn't be surprised if that someone was Red Alert.

"This one's my business, Sky," he tells the big white Autobot following close behind. "Just go home and relax, I'll meet you there when this mess is sorted out."

Now which way was the brig? It wasn't actually near Red's office...

Luckily, Starscream has a tour guide waiting for him at the checkpoint. He waves when he sees the Seeker approach, all cheer and fluffy bunnies now that 2112 was safely brigged.

"I'll take you down to her cell," he says without preamble, offering him a welding visor. "She's been pretty cooperative so far."

I'll bet she has.

Starscream takes the welding visor and stares at it for a moment. "She uses an optical attack like Jazz's, then?"
