I wasn't eligible for LASIK but I was eligible have a PRK, which is the primitive version (the only option for those of us who have corneas of 500 microns or thinner). Man, was that painful, but I'd do it all over again in a minute. No glasses! No contacts! No more left eye spitting out contact lenses at the rate of four times a day! Magical.
