Postal Strike

Oct 23, 2009 12:00

My original thoughts on the postal strike were that we should simply hang the ringleaders, and the rest of the work-shy fuckers would get the message.

However, after receiving the following in my e-mail today:

IRFU: Ticket Information For UK Customers
For immediate release: Friday 23rd October 2009
Issued on behalf of The Irish Rugby Football Union
IMPORTANT TICKET NOTICE FOR UK BASED CUSTOMERS

Due to the planned industrial action to take place at Royal Mail, the IRFU will not be posting any tickets to the United Kingdom or Northern Ireland for the forthcoming Autumn Internationals. We would therefore ask all of our UK based customers to select one of the following options in order to ensure you receive your tickets.

1) U.K. / N.I. based customers may inform the IRFU Ticket Office of an alternative address in the Republic of Ireland or another European country for delivery. Please contact ticketqueries@irishrugby.ie with the new address which you would like your tickets sent to. Please be sure to quote your transaction number (Txxxxxx) when making any request with regard to your tickets.

2) Where it is not possible for customers to provide an alternative address, ticket collections will be organised for customers in the week prior to the game. Please contact the IRFU Ticket Office at ticketqueries@irishrugby.ie to make arrangements for collections. If you wish to collect your tickets it will be necessary for you to have photo identification and a copy of the e-mail you received confirming your ticket order.

We would also advise all customers not to post any tickets to any address in the U.K. as any tickets which are lost or delayed as a result cannot be replaced.

All replies and queries should be directed to ticketqueries@irishrugby.ie

I think it's time to machine-gun the picket lines. So, I have to drive to Dublin not once, but twice every week of the autumn internationals. Once to pick up the tickets and a second time to go to the game. FUCK. THAT. SHIT.

Also, upset by the UK/NI. It's either GB/NI or UK, as NI is part of the United Kingdom.
