the bill to end all bills

What are we going to do about this?

I had a riff going a while back about how Bush, Blair and Berlusconi represent the dawn of the post-democratic era. I thought I was being a little over the top. I was wrong.

what I find more disturbing than the bill itself is the fact that's it's been given so little press. am unsure whether this represents a massive threat or something that COULD lead to massive changes but in practice probably won't (am instinctively suspicious of any Hitler comparison).

still feel this should be publicised more if nothing else. blah!

When is the bill up next?

We should just spread the word and then on the day badger IRN from all the different stations we can, then they'll cover it, and ITV will pick it up, and then hopefully the BBC and Sky will follow suit.

It's in committee phase at the moment. That's due to end on 9th March.

I'll try a couple of friends at the BBC political unit. Also some contacts at Demos and the Young Foundation. I'll post on here if I hear anything useful back.
