As is plainly obvious, I have so far failed to incorporate lj into my daily life. I will try to do better in the future, at least in keeping up with other people's updates. Anyways ( Read more... )

Is there at least an end to the long-distance portion sometime soon (i.e., are you picking up stakes and heading for LAla land)?

I think, if you can survive not only the LD relationship, but the reintegration, then you'll be together forever.

Yes, presumably I will be joining TNT in LA come fall of next year. Ok, presumably might not be a good descriptive term, but I still can't see myself as a Californian, much less an LAsian.

The reintegration should be interesting. We both have grown quite accustomed to having our own space.

Shackles, huh? Maybe just too many bondage play desires being ripened by the long distance relationship. :)

I got to see Twelfth Night on stage a week+ ago, speaking of "Duke Orsino." It's so much fun seeing it live. I love that play all the cross dressing and mistaken identities and general mayhem, so much fun. And some nice eye candy playing the various parts. mmmm.

Though more seriously, I understand where you are coming from on some level. I'm kind of coming at it from the other direction where I am not dating anyone and have gotten pretty independent and happy with things going on in my life. So I am left to wonder what benefit dating has for me. What would it get me? Is there anything that someone can bring into my life that would enhance it in some way that makes the loss of my freedom worth it? I'm eating my cheesecake now and ain't nobody taking it from me. Granted sex and an occasional backrub wouldn't suck, but I can buy backrubs. haha.

Love that play. Not the most brilliant or comical, but it is, all-around, my favorite.

Is it telling that I empathize with Orsino, and yet disdain him in many regards?
