Help! Someone please help me!

All I set out to do was to find the kitchen and somehow, instead, I find myself in this one-way windowless room with no handles upon the door! It's a trap! This room is a horrible trap!

No no, Duke, don't worry. It's a perfectly normal method of transportation. It's just taking you either up or down, depending on what button you pressed.

In just a few minutes those doors will open.

B-But I did not press any buttons, Gids!! Where are the buttons?! I see the lovely carpet and there is nothing but lights above me... However, the walls are some sort or metal and there is even a metal bar going around the room and I-

OH! Is that what these numbers are? I simply thought they were some bit of decoration of some silly sort o-or... perhaps worse.

I don't wish to die from pressing a button, Gids! How else to I get out of here?! I only wish to find the kitchen to investigate if there are proper materials to create a sandwich-loaf. I just wish for a sandwich-loaf, Mister Gids!

I fear for my life, Miss Anna... I'm in this small room. I thought it would lead somewhere... b-but there is no way out! I just wished to find the kitchen and now I'm- I'm stuck!

Are you in an elevator? A small...metal box with buttons on the side?

[She's getting up out of the library chair now. She really hopes it's the elevator, and not some...for real, tiny, windowless room.]
