Aside from the panic attacks and work stress, I'm doing ok. I just talked to my mom, and it was very calming, though I'm still all knotted up inside. She said my grandma is still holding on, and she recognizes voices and responds as best she can without speaking. She acknowledges her favorite Psalms when my mom reads them to her. I do the same thing: write for other people and feel bad when I bitch about something too much or relate a story that isn't of much interest to anyone but myself.
But, hell, it IS a journal, so write what you want, for yourself, like you said.
I'm sorry about your grandmother. Mine is dying too. I'm glad you at least got to talk to yours. I hope things start looking up for you soon.

I didn't get to talk to my grandma. I'm still in Jersey. But her sons are there, and my mom and all the others that are closest to her. So that at least is good. I say, at least she is 92 and lived a long, happy full life. I last saw her in August of last year, and while I would have liked ot have seen her more recently, I remember her as "herself" while apparently the last year or so has been a decline from the woman I knew.

why do people think that LJ is all about entertaining or being entertained. blah.
as futile as it sounds, i'm sorry about your grandma, and i hope you take comfort in knowing that she lived the long full happy life you said she lived, and in how good (out of a lack of a better word) it is that she will pass without pain and suffering.
