Dre and I were EXTREMELY happy to see Pan's Labyrinth get dubbed for so many categories. Especially when you consider the limited release.

Yeah. I haven't seen it yet, but have heard incredible things. It's at the top of my list for theatrical movies to see now that the Altman fest is over (in the theater at least, it'll continue on DVD.) Last King of Scotland had only been playing in 4 theaters nationwide before the nominations. Now it is opening in over 450 more.

I was happy to see lots of surprises in the nominations this year! Or at least, surprises to me. Gosling as best actor, little miss sunshine getting lots of recognition....etc. I like years like this!

The buzz beforehand was that both Gosling and LMS were going to get something. I figured either LMS or Little Children would be the dark horse for Best Picture. I'm actually surprised it was left out of Best Director, but I never get what I want.

If there are any movies you see on my list that aren't italicized and you and Frank want to see, let me know. I plan on seeing them all in one shape or form before the ceremony, the night of which we'll be hosting a party, complete with an Oscar for the winner of the prediction game.
