i know... this is my largest litter to date.
Hera had only 16 babies last year. (this year she gave birth to 16 slugs... nonfertile ova. was sad. we blame it on her good-for-nothing mate Nero. all he likes to do is snack on mice and hog the remote... lol)

so i said it for TJ and the same goes for you... if you ever want a little snakelet... just give me a ringy-dingy. i will set you up with all you need and will always be available for questions and queries.
snakes make great pets. and red tailed boas are like the puppydogs of the serpentine world. the mum of this litter, Aprhrodite is the sweetest girl. calm yet outgoing... you'd love her.
and she's only seven feet long.
not bad, eh???

I could just imagine the rumble between Chloe the kitty and a snake.

personally, i have three cats (Matthew, Luke and Ophelia) and have never had a problem between the serpents and fluff-heads.
snakes are quiet you know... keep to themselves when kept in a nice warm tank and are wellfed.

but of course i do not know your little Chloe... is she an instigator??

Oh, I do most definitely approve of the names! (To cross the memes, Horatio of the books always struck me as a bit Slytheriny, so this works. :) What's the name of special-needs guy?

When you say you saw the last one, do you mean The Wrong War/Frogs and Lobsters, or Duty? 'Cause there was a four-part miniseries first, then two two-part miniseries later on ...

Anyway ... ADORABLE snakes. Congrats to you and the parents!

oooh! so glad you like the names!
i too think they are a hoot... and are defintiely growing on me.

when i said the "last" in the series i did mean the very last episode shot... so that would be "Duty". i was/am bummed that there aren't any more, as they left the series hanging. i mean, i want to see his kid!
lol.

well the whole litter is in a shed now which is GREAT... everyone is right on schedule. they should be all shed out by this time next week and then i can start feeding the little buggers. then i will truly see who will thrive or not...
as far as the special needs fellow... well he is the only one not in a shed yet. bummer. but once he does shed i will attempt to feed him and then get him to the vets. so far, he is doing o.k.... he has dropped his yolk sac and most of his umbilical cord and is slithering around quite well. he's a bit slower than the rest, but his kinked back end is the reason for that.

we did notice that one of the kinks is right on his vent/cloaca which may hinder his deficating... which would ( ... )
