I hope you feel better soon!

Right now I'm reading Rabbis, Radicals, and Peacemakers: Conversations with Jewish Critics of Israel, and there are a few organizations/websites mentioned in the appendix that might answer your question:

Jews Against the Occupation--www.jato.org
The Palestine Right to Return Coalition--www.al-awda.org
Jewish Voice for Peace--www.jewishvoiceforpeace.org
Gush Shalom--www.gush-shalom.org
International Solidarity Movement--www.palsolidarity.org

Those sounded like the more likely candidates. (The appendix was labeled "Essential Websites," so not everything listed in the appendix was necessarily an advocacy organization.)

Oh, I guess the title is Radicals, Rabbis and Peacemakers; I got the sequence of the R words mixed up, and there's no second comma in the series...not that that's terribly relevant.

Thanks for the suggestions!

I am especially looking for Jewish orgs advocating for peace so some of those sound right on.

i have this book on my bookshelf but I haven't read it yet:

Have you?

Oh, that book looks sweet! I hadn't even heard of it, but as soon as I read the description, I searched for it on U. of A. Library's website. They have it, so I'll have to check it out the next time I'm there.

I didn't know I. F. Stone was Jewish (according to the book description, and confirmed in the Wikipedia article I linked to). I've been wanting to read his book The Hidden History of the Korean War (out of print, but available at the Library).

Poetry? Try taking renaissance poetry at 8 am. It was hell. Not only that but once I showed up to class hungover and told my group "Okay...talk softly, I'm about to die."

Poetry is for girls.
