Likely as not, this will *never* happen. But should I ever been in a position where my whim counts for anything? I would want to sponsor a Cattle Raid tournament. It's like having to capture the enemy's flag, but, with livestock. Okay... not REAL livestock. Something cumbersome enough to take up a few people to herd it across the field though

Children? No, that's probably frowned upon too. You could probably get teens to be the cattle though. They're heavy and unruly and hard to direct. Tell them to act frightened and run around a little and don't just let the opposing team take them right away, it would be HILARIOUS.

As a somewhat related note to the brain ball...remember when I called them during feast at 12th Night about how I could get a brain? They thought I was drunk or stoned. I had to explain that no really, I was sober and that there was a legit reason for it. Shows what they think of me. :-p

A brain ball would be easy to make, it is brain and lime, mixed to a stiff paste, and formed and let dry. Supposed to be hard enough to kill an opponent through a helmet.

Ah, I must have. Not good, I assume. I have done brain tanning, but never the other. Now lime mortar, that I have done. Weehaw, exothermic reactions are fun!!!

I'm picturing water balloons the size of a person, but I'm not sure how you could manage that. Especially since it would need to be sturdy enough to not break the first time somebody dropped it.

I was thinking something like a section of concrete-form tube, with legs attached, with some form of wheels on the legs. With some creativity, it should be possible to add some form of simple "random steering" mechanism, that would make it harder to get the thing to go where you want it to go when rolled.
Weights could also be added, to make it harder to roll.

I think this is a great idea!! It sounds (speaking as a non-fighter) like it would be really fun to watch.

Also, there's a lot of possibility for variation. For example, you could have the initial "raiders vs. the cattle guards" fight... and then the raiders(assuming they win) have, let's say two minutes, to get the cow/cattle/livestock out of the field, before "reinforcements show up from the village", and the raiders have to fight again, to see if they can get away with the goods.
