So once I deleted my friends list and ever since I rebuilt it my filters don't work. Now I can't even post comments in other people's journals or reply to comments made in mine. Livejournal hates me and I don't know how to make things right between us.

Please Help.

I'd say the best thing to do first is kill-off your old filters and replace them with new ones.
As for the rest, it would help to make a support request: http://www.livejournal.com/support/
They tend to know more about these things.
