Yeah, it’s been a while. My mother has made the comment several times that I abandoned my journal while still on the East coast, which she really didn’t approve of. It’s been an interesting several months; pretty good with a few really sad moments.
After I got back from the East coast, I had to go to Las Vegas for another software conference…
for software I really REALLY don’t like. Ended up my boss called me in the middle of the conference madder than a wet hen wanting to dump the software I was at the conference for. (>.<) Made for an interesting week. Did end up seeing the Star Trek Museum while I was out there, so the trip wasn’t a totally waste. (~.^)
Then ended up in CA for Thanksgiving at my brothers, and an emergency trip to Sioux Falls, SD for my cousins’ funeral. That wasn’t fun. Nothing trips you out more than loosing your favorite cousin, who is a month younger than you. Not cool. Then off to TN for Christmas and back home in time for New Years and a visit from my brother. (We seem to be trading off here…)
Now as to the silence on LJ; I blame it all on this horrible new addiction.
The Craft Bug bit so hard I should be missing part of my behind. (Unfortunately, I’m still the same size, which just doesn’t seem fair, if it’s going to bite that hard, it could at least pull some fat off!) *sigh* I have discovered that I have Adult Onset ADD though. Gads. From beads to clay to miniature trees to needlework to painting … this list just goes on and on. Should break down and just buy stock in Hobby Lobby. Every time I go there, I find something else that I just have to try. Then Borders added to the addiction with all their craft books, it’s a conspiracy! This could be really bad. ::snicker::
Have managed to find a new anime that is really just too cute for words; Rental Magica. It’s just adorable and I love the end notes. Cool stuff. Have even been hanging out with some friends doing crafts and some anime, that has been really too cool.
The kittens have continued to grow, and are still absolutely too cute for words. ::grin:: Have to admit that I enjoy them way too much. Sacha has gone to her new home, but it looks like Louise and Clark will be staying here. Yohji has really bonded with Louise (the total adoration that she holds him in doesn’t hurt!) and he enjoys playing with Clark. Having the kittens has also mellowed out the older two girls to the point that they are becoming social … slowly. Amazing what a good example will do! It’s going to be interesting talking to my vet when I take Louise in next month, I suspect they’ve had a running bet going as to whether I kept the kittens or not. ::snicker::
Take care all!
