Can someone fucking explain to me why I apparently need to degrade myself to some kind of drooling cro-magnum in order to talk to girls?

I'll be honest. I haven't had a lot of luck with girls in my life. I'm 24 years old and I have yet to have sex with a girl. Needless to say, I am not happy about this and recently have decided to take action.

Also, you might want to think about your very first line, even. I mean, I know you probably said it at least partly in jest, but are you really implying that you'd have to lower yourself to get a lady? That is basically the silliest thing I've heard in awhile. Ladies are people too. How do you talk to your guy friends? You can talk to ladies that way too! Just be yourself-- on some level people can sense when you're trying to be something you aren't, and that can be off-putting.

Well thanks for all the suggestions everyone even if some of them are of limited value, at best. For those saying that I need to be the initiator of contact, sorry to tell you but I have, lots of times, and it doesn't seem to help ( ... )

Actually, I was pretty much being serious. If I try "being myself," its nearly always far beyond the comprehension of most people. Females included. I have a theory that most people think in tiny little random thought bubbles. But my thoughts tend to be longer and more coherent. So when I try to talk to girls about, well, anything, it's usually way over their heads, and they lose interest.

So basically, yes, if I want to converse with women, I essentially have to artificially drop my IQ about 35 points first. Ugh.

OMG I have the same problems, and I figured out why! Have you heard of Aspergers? I found out that I have it after reading this article: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Aspergers

It basically means that youre really smart, so smart that women don't like you.
