The results are in: Bush won and Kerry lost. Now would be the appropriate time for many people to move to "insert random country here". If, for some crazy reason, you decide to stay in this country, do your best to support the president, because even if he wasn't your choice, he won the popular and electoral votes and has control of our country. 49% of this country didn't voter for him, and now we should just support him? I think you are asking a little much. The apathetic ones may cave, but I doubt the rest will just drop all independent thought and stand behind this administration. You'll never see me support support this president just because he won.

51% of this country didn't voter for clinton in '96, but everyone else got over it.

i saw a funny ad from punkvoter that said "1/3 of all tax cuts go to the wealthy. wheres your tax cut?" and i thought about. it appeared to be a trick question, but the answer was quite obvious (for the majority of punxxx readers):

the other 2/3.

my point is, well, you really do need to get over it. i would absolutely no problem with kerry in office (well other than hoping there isnt a draft in the next 4 years, until i turn 25), because no matter what, there are checks and balances, and every single person involved in the US government collectively takes citizens in mind when making decisions, and thats what we call checks and balances. thats the only way america can stay the greatest country in the world. if you disagree, well, thats fine i guess. i strongly consider moving to what you think is a greater country, even if just for a few years.

Congress may pass laws........but the President can veto them.

The President can veto laws.......but Congress can override the veto with a 2/3 vote.

The President and Congreess may agree on a law..........but the Supreme Court can declare a law unconsitutional.

The President can appoint Judges and other government officials.......but Senate must approve them.

Supreme Court judges have life terms.......but they can be impeached

fun fact: I was reading today that the president has not used his veto power in the whole four years he has been in office.

This is John Kerry.

I deliberately lost 3.6 million votes to save my hair color. Everyone knows that the President's hair color always turns white during his or her term.

Only a few presidents avoided this problem by making wise use of the shampoo, "Just for Men," to conceal their snowy do's.

Hats off to all you Republicans: pray none of your children turn out to be gay, or study abroad in Iran.

To my Democrats: don't worry, you'll be OK. Just keep your anti-Bush and Darwin Fish bumper stickers off your car for the next four years. Your tax-cuts aren't as cool or fancy as the new F-22 fighters, are they? Hell no. Look at 'em go!

To Bailey: Thanks for letting me use your LJ name. Theresa thinks you're dead sexy. Be my son in law.
