Perhaps the remark contained in the Title of this Journal entry is valid. But is there value in harboring knowledge which isn't applicable? Impressing a potential employer with good grades, and academic achievement is a tactic, not the sole purpose of education. It is what helps to get your foot in the door with many workplaces.
