So I finished the last book and it is so so sooo good. And I am still hoping that movie did not just go ahead and changed the biggest plot point in order (I cannot prove of course, but I speculate and suspect it is true) to please well, I guess I should say people who do not think that religious dogma could be significantly changed in fiction and that's OKAY.

I totally agree with your reasoning, but I mean, they are such wrong reasons, no?

I mean, wrong reasons for movie makers to decide that fictional character whose name is Lucifer MorningStar should be precluded the path to redemption, because OMG it will not be like in the bible. And yes, fanatics, I told you about a girl with whom I went to college, who was a devoted christian and who, when I was raving about Brem Stoker's book where Lucifer also had his sympathetic moments, said she would never read that. Because she cannot read a book about Satan, who is sympathetic.

Sigh. Just feels so wrong, because Lucifer's crimes in this book are still big, but he is in pain and he is sorry, and he is willing to do all the work, he is basically treated like human sinner, I should say, I guess.
