Yeah, no, you're right, I was much more familiar with the original anime version until very recently, because I read the manga a very long time ago (on the order of five or so years) and had watched the original FMA more recently. I realized after I posted the fic that the assumptions I based the fic on were actually from the anime not the manga. So, I just decided it was mostly animeverse, or what I've heard referred to as "Canon? What canon?" XP

So basically, yeah, I messed up and blended the different series together. Sorry it bothered you!
