i read that rolling stone article and it was just disappointing. bj stopped smoking pot, started drinkin red wine and vodka tonics (thats a weird fuckin drink man), became too insecure to show mike and tre his songs...granted i understand there was tension. it just seems he's gone out of his fuckin mind...he looks like a 12 year old emo kid in all his photo's now, only plays arenas..i dont want to get into that whole "punk credibility" shit cause its all a bunch of nonsense anyway. but he did sell out, they all did. whatever happened to the green day that played with panzee division? they turned into the green day that plays with fuckin my chemical romance, sugarcult and....new found glory? give me a fuckin break. don't get me wrong ive loved green day since i was 8, and theyve always been the band i look up to, because they "were never going to be the rockstars that i hate". but now theyve become that and it makes me sick man. fortnuately i can still smile to the queers.
Yeah, they've changed but it would have gotten boring if they stayed the same. It was way cooler when they brought their freinds out on the road. They can only play arenas now because those are the only places that can fit everybody who wants to see them, they can't play in clubs anymore, it would be stupid. As for selling out, I dont think theyve sold out at all, I think they just grew up. They sure as hell don't act like rockstars, I mean they let me drum with them, not many bands would have kids play thier instruments. In fact no bands at that level would. That was the greatest thing that ever happened to me. Yeah I love the queers too and Im glad Joe Queer is still doing stuff as well. Who are you anyways?
