amen!

what would their goal be to have human/cylon hybrid babies though?
hmmm...

i loved the idea that the basestar was also a living cylon - and i don't know why they idea didn't occur to me before.

this has consistently proven to be the most well written shows i've ever seen.

Do you watch Ron Moore's other show Carnivale on HBO? It's also very very good.

I wonder if Cylons have hit an evolutionary plateau due to the constraints of their machinery and technology? Maybe they need the humans to evolve to the next step. Maybe the next step has less to do with biology or genetics, but more with spirituality and faith.

To them, it seems that a crucial component of being human is to have spiritual faith, so the Cylons integrate religeon into their belief structure. I wonder, however, if this is as far as they can go...they can't comprehend or feel spiritual faith...they can only go through the motions and grasp onto the dogma. So maybe they need the humans to help them take that step towards true belief and spirituality?

I'm totally talking out of my ass here, but I can't help it! This show is so good and intriguing!

i've thought about the evolutionary/spiritual plateau thing too. but why kill off all humans, why not just start fucking them?

and that one #6 on Caprica is very jealous of Sharon's love for Heilo. And now she's pregnant?! Hmm.. I wonder if Baltar's original Six is pregnant too?

But now that Starbuck has seen Sharon on Caprica... did that cause the Sharon on Galactica to attempt the assassination of Adama? that even the sleepers are still connected to the cylon hive mind no matter how hard they may try to seperate themselves from being cylon?

I knew the president was going to be arrested a couple months ago - I started reading the bsg newsgroup but the Brits kept spoiling everything since they got the series before the US, so I stopped reading it.

You've got that right. It's amazing how well a story can be written without all the high-cost trappings of special-effects to push it along. I've been pleasantly surprised by Battlestar Galactica.

Great point, the strength of the show is the story and characters...but the special effects are excellent and they do what they should do...help tell the story. The attack on the Cylon mine was excellent and reminded me so much of the death star sequence in Star Wars. I'm pretty sure the similarities were deliberate, but it was still nicely done.

and so much more believable than the original series when they attacked the cylon fuel depot. i think they've done a wonderful job sticking to the plot of the original series. i can't believe how many people out there absolutely despise the new series.
