Fake iPhone From China

Amusing things like this (especially the flipped Apple logo - with a variation where just the leaf is flipped) make me wonder if China is the new Ferengi*. I love the thinking that went behind the logo... "It's not a trademark infringement because we're using an apple that faces the OTHER direction ( Read more... )

I thought it was funny how at the end, the screen displayed that it was a "tPhone." I can't imagine who in their right mind wouldn't look at that--all of it, really--and say, "wait--something's not right with this!" (The use of a stylus being the first and foremost clue!)

True, I think most people would know it's not a real iPhone. I wonder if there are some people who, despite knowing this, like the added "style" or "panache" that the Apple logo provides...and buy for that reason. Maybe the thought process is "Well, I could have this generic phone with no logo... or, I could have this other phone that looks kinda like the iPhone and probably performs as well as my generic phone."

Well, you know Dave, he's often quite subtle when he has a new toy. He got me one last week but my contract with t-mobile isn't up yet so I don't get to play yet! :)
