I can recommend Tayside Power from the Trusted Trader scheme for electrical stuff - I was very pleased with the work done for me.
Plumbing-wise, I had P&K heating to install a new boiler for me and can highly recommend them, their contact details are about 3/4 of the way down this list.

Dundee's ace. Of course, moving from somewhere where there was no public transport on a Saturday and the highlight of the year's entertainment was the agricultural show does help in appreciating cities :)
