I Found a Reason - Chapter Two
She was doing her rounds like every night since about a month.
She still was the "new one" in the floor and her co workers treat her like if she was a paria or something. She didn't understand why because always considered herself a nice person.
She left her paperwork in the reception desk. The girl on the next turn could organize them. Her gaze reached the slight light coming from the last office on the corridor.
The office of Dr. Wilson.
She hasn't spoke more that a few words with him but it was enough to confirm what everybody says about him.
Besides, he has something... Maybe his shy personality o whatever... And the most important about this: the man was handsome.
And before she can even realizing it she was standing in front of his closed door. She opened it and enters in without knocking.
The room was empty but his stuff were still there: his coat, his briefcase. Where he was then?
She walked towards the open door leading to the balcony and...screamed forgetting that she was still in a hospital in the middle of the night.
Wilson thought about his options one more time. Five minutes ago he was so sure and now he had doubts. Damn it!
The lights at House's office were turned off, which means that his owner is already in home or in some bar. Why he never was there where he needs him?
He passed one leg over the balcony railing. Moments later he was sitting there, waiting.
The height was almost right but it also had a lot of trees on which to land. This meant that no guarantee a death but a hospital visit with a lot of broken bones and a pass for the psychiatrist.
The scream makes him jump and almost fall over. He turned to face the source of the damn noise. The last thing he needed was a witness. Damn it!
A women was standing on the doorway looking at him.
-"Don't do it!"- she said taking one step in his direction.
-"What?"
-"Don´t jump!"-she shouted.
-"I don't... I didn't think... I just..."-he mumbled feeling like an idiot.
-"Then, what the hell were you doing there?"
-"Enjoying this beautiful night"- Wilson lied. There would be other opportunities. But not tonight.
