I resent the ubiquity of soccer just about as much as you do. It's no different in NL than in DE in that regard, either. Still, I'd managed to avoid most of the hype. Until my normally very quiet neighborhood got *very* noisy last night and I had to check what had caused that.

On the one hand, very well done indeed.

On the other hand... oh gods, this is going to go on and on, isn't it?
