There are far worse things than having a honest, healthy relationship and active sex life with one's lawfully wedded husband. You, he and your children are well-adjusted and happy, and for the life of me, I cannot understand what good can come from hurting and embarrassing an otherwise happy family unit....people she should, by all rights, be loving and protecting.

If she was so concerned about you and M, the appropriate thing to do would be to voice her concerns to YOU AND HIM. Exactly WHAT was to be accomplished by tattling things to other relatives when she might or might not have her story straight? It really matters little what her motives were. She intentionally set out to hurt others with malicious talk...something that she, herself, will eventually be judged for.

Don't worry. Any ugly thing we say or do to anyone else eventually comes back to haunt us. When something equally hurtful or humiliating happens to her, she will no doubt reflect back on this.
