Drabble One: The scandal
Had it been anyone other than Lavender Brown and Michael Corner who had discovered them, perhaps the secret might even have remained just that-- a secret.
But Brown was unfortunately the biggest gossip in the entire school and Corner was unfortunately Ginny's ex-boyfriend. And so when the two of them happened upon a tapestry that seemed to be shifting about close to the dungeons and Lavender unceremoniously pulled it aside, Draco and Ginny blinked at the sudden light, the latter emitting a small shriek and pulling at her robes, the former shutting his eyes and groaning. The scandal would be upon the school in twenty minutes flat and he hadn't even DONE anything yet. Life was unfair.
Drabble Two: The Fallout
Prefect Meeting the next evening was utter chaos. Even Ernie MacMillan had given up trying to get everyone down to business after fifteen minutes of shouting. Evidently, the fact that his sister was snogging the ferret didn't sit well with Ron, and it didn't help that said sister was a Prefect as well, screaming right back at him that he had no right to dictate her life and she was no longer twelve and Draco had changed.
After the meeting had adjourned, Luna Lovegood walked up to Ron and patted his arm comfortingly. "Come on now... EVERYONE knows that bat bogey hexes are the traditional courtship prelude to pink-haired babies. Flitterclucks do it all the time."
