A Christian friend recently mentioned to me that he was intending to try proselytizing some Mormons. Since I generally know the details of the differences between various religous groups, he asked me for some pointers.

I got my first copy of the D&C from some very confused missionaries. After reading the Book of Mormon and finding many cross references to the D&C in the margins, they happened to walk across the field that I was mowing as part of a summer job. I yelled "hi" and started toward them and they looked like they weren't quite sure if they should run or not, but stayed put. I asked if they knew where I could get a copy of the Doctrine and Covenants. They looked at each other, looked back at me and said, "You know, we don't usually have people walk up to us out of the blue and ask about the D&C. I'm pretty sure we can get you one."
Maybe instead of a Temple wedding, you could get some cureloms and cumoms for the birthday party petting zoo.
Alma 3:6-96 And the skins of the Lamanites were dark, according to the mark which was set upon their fathers, which was a curse upon them because of their transgression and their rebellion against their brethren, who consisted of Nephi, Jacob, and Joseph, and Sam, who were just and holy men.
