What games are you looking forward to as a game tester?

Personally, I can't wait for half life 2. I normally don't follow video game releases much, but I just have this feeling that HL2 will own me for a month.

From what I understand, this article is about a lawsuit still pending between Valve (developer of Half-Life 2) and Vivendi (their publisher). The lawsuit came about because Valve was reportedly setting a street date for HL2 when they legally can't do so. So, the publisher got pissed and is now "holding Half-Life 2 hostage" for (up to) 6 months. You see Will, creating a video game is much like writing a book. You get money up front to fund the product and have to deliver a "status" of the game (or build) every so often (these are called Milestones) in order for the publisher to analyze the game's progression. There is a bunch of contractual legal mumbo-jumbo in every deal and apparently Valve's publisher, Vivendi has the "right" to delay the release of the game for up to 6 months after the final build of Half-Life 2 is in their hands. What this means for consumers is a possible delay of 6 months for Half-Life 2 to be released in stores. So, unless they settle their differences expect to see HL2 somewhere in the summer of 2005. :(

I was talking about Star Wars at lunch today. 25 bones for the trill on DVD? what a fucking steal!!! I didn't realize they weren't supposed to release it on DVD format. I am going to get it as soon as I can. Anyone who wants to start a BUY NICK THE STAR WARS DVD TRILL fund, I will be forever in your debt. Anyways, the people I was at lunch with had never actually seen all the movies....I don't understand how that is possible, except for my girlfriend who has lived in canada and Saudi for most of her life.

What is your personal favorite movie...maybe you've said that before. Mine is Empire, definitely....but then again Ewoks rwoks.

I also heard a rumor they are going to make Ep. 7, 8 and 9. Is it true?

I know alot of devout Star Wars fans, but I don't know anyone who is annoyed with Star Wars and the like. Do Trekkies hate Star Wars fans and vice versa?

Aaron you are definitely a man child. Gaming is your true calling. How many people can play video games all day everyday and not want to kill some one. I think it takes a certain personality and you've got it. To top it off you don't look like a troll, you have a hot girlfriend who loves you, and you have lots of friends. I like your enthusiasm, keep up the good work. You are a role model for every pimple face fifteen year old who understands that strange language you often burst into. I think it goes something like.. RPG, DD, RTS and a bunch of other code words which I have no idea what they mean. If anyone ask "are you fluent any another language" just start speaking in that native gaming language.
