I’ve kept meaning to post some ramblings on my Madrigal event happenings.
I’ve not posted about it, but my attendance at the event was a very iffy thing due to a major medical emergency in the family that had Spidersprite up in Maine to be there, “just-in-case”. Things on that front have gotten much better, so with finally a few minutes of spare time I’ll hit the high points that I can share about my event.
I came off this event feeling like most of the things I was able to run, added to the PC fun. This doesn’t mean they went the way I thought they might go… but no plot has ever survived PC contact, so it’s all good. I do think most of the stuff I ran added to the overall enjoyment factor for those involved, and well that’s why I do it.
So, for the vast majority of my event, I had a blast running some modules that I can’t post about… and some RP encounters that I definitely can’t post about… oh, but I did have fun doing some field fights where I got to play random bad guy #4. I can post about it, but saying I had fun fighting, is like saying “wow, fire is hot”.
One thing that I can post about is that Twilight’s Promise, my Fey NPC, has a ‘Seekrit Admirer’ who wrote him a song. So, “Take that Piccadilly with you secret admirer and his love notes! You un-seelie may get an occasional note… I got a whole song!” I also had a good time going out as my Black Templar with his leashed 'caster in a jester cap', and given the PC reaction - I suspect they will need to make another appearance in town. Oh, and of course the Pharaoh’s visit to Shadowfane in Godlike fury was fun… only to have the massive chaos and destruction put on hold as he gets put in his place by the object of his fury… “Well, if you had bothered to tell me any of this when I asked you! This wouldn’t be happening now would it?” Oh, how we gods hates it when you mortals are right. I did however miss my current lead vampire Xerit talking fashion with Ocalon behind my back. Vampires… I mean really, you can’t take them anywhere…
Sadly… other than the Pharaoh stomping into town, and Twilight’s Promise getting drunk on the field, there’s not much else I can post about publicly.
So, if you’re one of the PCs that I did run stuff for… know that I really had a good time doing it!
