I thought the 'Spider-man' thing was kind of lame, too. Your theory for the next book makes a lot of sense, but I want Harry to keep living, too! However, I remember reading back around book 4 maybe that Rowling was going to keep it at 7 books (minus all the spinoff/tie-in stuff), and maybe that's why. Kind of like how before matrix 3 came out everyone was all, 'so, more movies?' and the actors were all, 'no...don't think so' and apparently a lot of the characters die and stuff (never saw it).

And...there's no way Neville, Luna, and Ginny are going back to being minor characters in book 7.

Snape has to be good. HAS TO. Otherwise what message is Rowling putting out to the kiddies, eh? "Oh, don't trust people, don't give them a second chance, they'll turn around and kill you." It's not that I would mind if he were evil, I just don't think Rowling would put out that message.
