well used to seeing the odd Shitook (Chinook) thrash over, the very occasional Sea King and Pumas used to be fairly regular for Wellington Barracks, but just of late Super Jollies/Pave Lows have been rather too common for my liking.... the 5 or 6 today was the largest formation I've yet seen, though I think pairs have been noted before.
huge black helicopters the Pave Low definitely fits that bill... preying mantis-like would indicate Apache attack choppers and Flying Banana of Doom is the RAF slang for a Shitook... all the rest are just small and buzzy.
The BBC site has many of those useful little datafiles ^_^
And in other aviation news... the Tin Triangle (aka XH558, aka... oh, just look it up!) should have it's first test flight after 15 years of restoration sometime over the next week or so ^__________^

Well, that's what I thought, but I've never seen any of those over a city ...
