For the London and Home Counties flisters.
I have 4 tickets for a recording of the new Radio 4 show 'The Museum of Curiosity' on Monday 7th January at the Pleasance Theatre, Carpenters Mews, North Road, London N7 9EF
Doors open at 7:15pm with the recording starting at 7:30pm
The Museum of Curiosity is a new Radio 4 panel show, hosted by the legendary producer of Not the Nine O’Clock News, Spitting Image, Blackadder and QI John Lloyd and the equally legendary standup comedian and Buzzcocks regular Bill Bailey.
Each week they will be joined by three different guest panellists who will be a mix of entertaining but genuine experts and some genuinely expert entertainers. The guests for the recording on the 7th are Dr Jonathan Miller, Professor Marcus Du Sautoy (Mathematics, Oxford) and Dr Philip Ball (science author and ex editor of Nature).
The object of the show is for the guests to help Bill and John to fill their Museum with fascinating exhibits. There will be plenty of opportunities for some banter and exchanges between the guests.
"Dear Audience Member,
The Museum of Curiosity, as you doubtless are aware, is is the greatest Show And Tell on earth, for it accepts nothing into its collection that could remotely be described as boring. That means: no shapeless fragments of Bronze age pottery, no curly medieval shoes, and definitely no pre-industrial farming equipment (with or without the leather bits).
We would like you to make your own unique contribution to the museum, so please be ready at the recording to offer YOUR SUGGESTION on the piece of paper we'll hand you at the door. Exhibits don't have to be real things that you are actually at liberty to give to a museum, and they could even be entirely fictitious.
In the pilot, the winning entry was "The Diary Of The Man Who Discovered Milk". Top that.
The member of the public who submits the most OUTSTANDINGLY UNUSUAL CURIOSITY should come forward to receive a fellowship to the Faculty Of Curiosity after the end of tonight’s recording.
Yours sincerely,
The Professor of Curiosity"
I'm using 1 ticket (obviously) so there are 3 up for grabs, just let me know if you're interested. And please spread the word to anyone else who you think might be interested.
